ST. PAUL'S STAFF

The staff of St. Paul’s works hard to ensure that everyone who comes on our campus can experience the love of God in worship, in community, in learning, and in service. It is our goal to not only welcome all, but to create opportunities for people to learn and grow, through beautiful worship, great music, inspired preaching, educational opportunities for all ages, and through the opportunity to serve others.

The VERY REV. Kay Sylvester

Rector  -  kay@stpauls.org

Kay Sylvester has a long history with St. Paul’s. She served an internship year here in 1998, prior to seminary. She worked here in 2004 as the Welcome Minister. She began serving as a part-time associate priest in 2005, eventually moving to full-time. Upon the retirement of the former rector, she was named “Priest in Charge Under Special Circumstances” for 18 months, then installed as rector in October of 2012. She was married to Cynthia Case at St. Paul’s in June of 2014 by Bishop Suffragan Diane Bruce. She currently serves as dean of Deanery 9 (north Orange County). When she’s not at church, Kay loves to hike, read, and make music.

The Rev. David Milligan

Debbie MIDDLEBROOKS

Debbie has spent a lifetime pursuing music. Her greatest joy is co-creating in the role of accompanist. Ever since she was a young teenager, she accompanied for choirs, soloists, ensembles, instrumentalists, and has herself been a piano soloist. Debbie has been the resident accompanist & piano soloist at St. Paul's for 18 years. She is a piano teacher and serves on the board of the Arrowhead Arts Association.

PAUL MYERS

Operations Manager administrator@stpauls.org

Paul came to St. Paul's at the behest of a friend, who invited him and his husband to join the choir. In October of 2022, he became our Operations Manager, overseeing the office, building use, grounds, bill paying, repairs, and more. His friendly welcome is often the first (of many) a newcomer will receive if they visit the campus during the week.
