Church School

Sundays - during the 9:30 am liturgy

Children 6 years old and under are excused from the 9:30 am liturgy during the hymn of praise. They go with their teacher to study a Church School curriculum based upon the same Sunday scripture readings used in our worship service. Child care is provided for those under age 3, so the entire family can be involved in developing their faith.

Children age 7 through 6th Grade remain in the service until after the reading of the Gospel and then they are excused to go with their teacher for an age-appropriate reflection on the leddons of the day.

All children return to the church at the offertory to participate in Holy Communion with their parents.

Children's Special Annual Events

St. Francis Sunday: Blessing of the Animals
October 3, 2010 – 9:30am service
Bring your furry, feathered and finned pets to our annual Blessing of the Animals service in honor of St. Francis. There is no Church School on this day so that children may enjoy the service with their parents and pets.

Christmas Eve “Gathering”
December 24, 2010 – 3:00pm
Designed for families with young children, this interactive service includes full Holy Eucharist.

Christmas Eve Pageant - December 24, 2010 - 5:00pm
A wonderful service for all the family with children's pageant and live animals! A beautiful Christmas Eucharist with traditional carols and the Christmas story with opportunities for every child to participate.
