On this day we celebrate the life and ministry of St. Paul, our patron, in a formal service.

Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes - Ash Wednesday
All three of the services on Ash Wednesday will start the Season of Lent with the optional Imposition of Ashes as we remember our human mortality. The evening service will have special music by the Chancel Choir.

Evensong in Commemoration of Bishop John M. Krumm
This candlelight evensong will be offered in celebration for the life of Bishop John Krumm, retired bishop-in-residence at St. Paul's for many years. Music of the Taize Community will be offered as musical prayer along with scriptures and a meditation on the life of this great man of God who served in our midst. Additionally, the annual John M. Krumm scholarship will be awarded. The service will be followed by a reception.

Palm Sunday - The Sunday of the Passion
The service begins with a festive air in the courtyard of the church. There is excitement and expectancy. Something extraordinary is about to happen. Then, amidst the liturgy of hosannas, the waving of palm branches and the procession of children and donkey, we march into the sanctuary singing. We experience the pomp and glory of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. But quickly, this exuberant mood becomes somber as the hosannas change to "Crucify him, crucify him," while the Passion is narrated.

Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist and Ceremonial Foot Washing
As a sign of his humble servanthood and symbol of the new commandment (mandatum) to love one another, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. In this liturgy on Maundy Thursday, this simple act will be symbolically commemorated.
April 1 , 2010 – 6:30 pm
Maundy Thursday Holy Eucharist and Agape Meal
In this commemoration of the Last Supper and Jesus Institution of the Holy Eucharist, we meet in the Parish Hall for a simple agape meal of Near Eastern foods and wine and we hear again His "New Commandment to love one another," and then share the Eucharistic bread and wine. After this, we process to the Sanctuary for the stripping of the altar as we prepare to remember our Lord's Passion on Good Friday.

The Great Vigil of Easter
A grand Candlelight Service that is based on a liturgy from the Second Century, including, an engaging telling of God's saving history with his people, Holy Baptism and renewal of baptismal vows and the first festive Holy Eucharist of Easter. The Chancel Choir and instrumental ensemble will lead the music.

The Festival of the Day of Resurrection - Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is a glorious commemoration of the power of the resurrection. Brass ensemble, tympani, the combined youth choirs and the Chancel Choir will lead our festival Eucharist. Joyous hymns, the Easter scriptures, the Easter message by the Rector and the Eucharist bring together this celebration of New Life in Christ.
April 18, 2010 –9:30 am
Earth Day Sunday
Taking seriously our responsibility for stewardship of the Earth "our island home" (BCP), this innovative Eucharist is a celebration of creation. This outdoor service will be accompanied by the choir and a student jazz ensemble.

Pentecost Sunday
Festival hymns and a dramatic reading of the Pentecost story will focus our thoughts on the coming of the Holy Spirit into our midst "uniting peoples of many tongues in the confession of one faith." (BCP)
July 4, 2010 – 9:30 am
A special service of “lessons and hymns” celebrating our heritage of freedom, both in this country and in the Gospel. When the Episcopal Church was formed, just after American Independence, the founders saw fit to include July 4 as a Lesser Festival in the church year. The Propers for this festival will be the lessons of the day. The 8:00 am liturgy will continue as usual.

St. Francis Sunday: Blessing of the Animals
Bring your furry, feathered and finned pets to our annual Blessing of the Animals service in honor of St. Francis.

All Saints Festival Eucharist
On this day we celebrate the “Communion of Saints” who have gone before us with beautiful music of the Chancel Choir and Chamber Orchestra for the sung liturgy of the Eucharist. This is a joyful service of favorite hymns and a remembrance of the saints that we have known.
December 5, 2010 – 5:00 pm
Advent Lesson and Carols
Among the most “Anglican” of our services is this evening Office of Scripture lessons foretelling the coming Messiah interspersed with the congregational singing of Advent hymns and choral anthems and instrumental music. Presented by candlelight, this ancient service sends us on our Advent journey as we prepare to receive the Christ of Christmas. A reception will follow.

Christmas Eve Pageant
A wonderful service for all the family with children's pageant and live animals! A beautiful Christmas Eucharist with traditional carols and the Christmas story with opportunities for every child to participate.

Christmas Eve Festival Candlelight Mass
The excitement, awe and wonder of that first Christmas night is celebrated with the singing of traditional carols, glorious music by the Chancel Choir with Brass and Tympani, a Christmas message by the Rector and the first communion of Christmas. This beautiful candlelight Eucharist will be a service you will long remember; a wonderful way to observe the coming of the Christ Child with the message of "Peace, goodwill toward all people."
